This village stands in the heart of the Amby valley which covers an area of 2,176 hectares. Rock faces form a natural wall around the village which overlooks the plains around Lyon and the regions of Bresse, Burgundy, Jura and the Massif Central.
Undeniably, the surrounding landscape is an asset to our village, with 536 hectares listed for their faunistic and floristic interest, and a 566-hectare protected natural area. A Natura 2000 listing covers most of our territory, which is made up of wetlands, arid zones, moorland, forest, valleys and hillocks, with a few summits reaching 400 metres above sea level.
A large part of Lemps lake, which is listed as an environmentally sensitive area, also falls within our territory. With its unrivalled biodiversity, the lake is an appealing feature of our tourist destination and draws many visitors.
