Morestel Medieval Tower
Presentation
The remains of a former castle, the Tower has an orientation table on its belvedere and an exceptional view of the surrounding area.
The dungeon consisted of a low room reserved for prisoners and a high room lit by pillared windows, accessible from the walkway. Now on 2 levels with an exhibition space for contemporary paintings and sculptures, this medieval tower was part of the castle that was dismantled in 1575. Its belvedere has an orientation table and a superb panorama over the town, Bugey and the Alps.
