Marais de la Léchère Sensitive Natural Area
Presentation
The marais de la Léchère marsh is one of the last large wetlands in East Lyonnais. It is a preferred site for many animal and plant species. A themed trail allows visitors to walk around the site without disturbing the wildlife
The marsh is made up of a mosaic of environments including swamp sawgrass, wet meadows, and willow and ash forests, and is home to protected characteristic flora such as Marsh spurge and Milk Parsley.
The ponds are a breeding ground for many animal species, including the very rare European Tree Frog and a habitat for the 32 species of dragonflies found on the site.
