Fishing at the étangs de Passins
Presentation
Located in the Natural Sensitive Area (ENS) of the Save, the site is made up of a succession of small lakes, surrounded by woods and meadows. On a fine day, you even have views of Mont Blanc.
The site is bordered on the south by a PDIPR path that joins the Via Rhôna, about 700 metres away.
The étangs de Passins site occupies an area of approximately 35ha. Nevertheless, it should be noted that walkers or anglers do not have access to the whole site.
It is accessible only on its southern limit, where it is bordered by a path. Also, fishing is not allowed throughout the entire site but only in a clearly defined area (fishing stations).
Applicable regulations for the étangs de Passins can be viewed on site.
With regards to fishing, it is specified that:
- Fishing is authorised from 1 July to 31 January for all holders of a valid fishing permit.
- Fishing is only authorised from the 6 fishing stations on the dyke (a map shows these positions, on site).
Each post is intended to accommodate a maximum of two anglers. The fishing stations can only be accessed by foot from the car park (the maximum distance between a fishing station and the car park is 100 metres).
Parking is prohibited outside this car park;
- Night fishing is prohibited;
- Only angling (roach pole, spinning, live bait, fly) is allowed;
- Maximum 2 lines per person;
- The national regulations for second category fishing apply to étangs de Passins.
Several fishing posts have disabled access (help may be required).
