Château du Cingle
Presentation
A fortress dating from the 13th and 15th centuries, the château du Cingle is a typical example of medieval architecture in Isle-Crémieu.
This remarkable building that still seems to defend the village of Vernas was saved from abandonment and ruin in the 1970s. Its current owners have been trying since then to restore it and bring it back to life by opening it to the public and various cultural events (concerts in the inner courtyard in the summer, guided tours on request and on European Heritage Days...).
Période(s) d'ouvertureAll year round, daily.
